Mother Mary McNeil,88, departed this life on Monday March 19, 2018 in Marion County. She was the mother of Diane McNeil, Gloria McNeil, Margaret McNeil, Pansy McNeil, Sharon Gardner, Dennis McNeil, Jimmy Lee McNeil and Daphne Johnson. You may visit the family at 510 Coming St. Marion.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Saturday March 31, 2018 at 10:00am. She will be laid to rest in the Florence National Cemetery Monday April 2, 2018 at 9:00am.

Mary Sue Robinson McNeil was born on August 10, 1929 to the late Sophie Ann Felder and Peter Foxworth in Horry County, South Carolina.
She resided in Horry County, South Carolina and later moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut where she worked for Norwalk Dying Company located in Norwalk, Connecticut, and also worked for Universal Manufacturing of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Eventually Mary Sue relocated to South Caroline where she began working for The Tomlinson’s Store of Marion, South Carolina until she retired.
Mary Sue was very well known and loved by her community; a warm hearted woman whose sense of humor was immeasurably hilarious. One of her hearts delights was spending time with her grand, great-grand and great-great grandchildren. She was affectionately known as Mae Sue, Momma, Mother, The Lady, Gran-Ma and Granny.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Freeman McNeil; daughters: Clara Mae McNeil Brock and Annette Johnson Williams; son: Joe Franklin McNeil; grand-daughters: Natasha Marie Roan and Khali Najee Davis.
Mary Sue leaves to cherish her memories ~ her children: Diane McNeil, Stratford, CT, Gloria Ann McNeil, Margaret D. McNeil, Pansy D. McNeil, Dennis E. McNeil all of Bridgeport, CT, Sharon McNeil Gardener, Daphne Johnson and Jimmy Lee McNeil all of Marion, SC; thirty-three grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren and thirteen great, great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
