Sis. Lorraine Doris Conner Thomas 58, departed this life on Sunday September 10, 2017 in Florence County. She was the wife of Jimmy Lee Thomas and the mother of Lou-Wanda, Jammie, Crystal, Christon and Whittney. You may visit the family at 149 Ellerbe Road, Latta, SC.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm Saturday September 16, 2017 at the Jesus Christ Church 310 Dixon St. Mullins. She will be laid to rest in the Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Marion.

Lorraine Doris Conner Thomas was born on October 30, 1958 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the daughter of Jule and Barbara Conner. She departed this earthly life on Sunday September 10, 2017 in Carolina Hospital System, Florence, South Carolina.

Lorraine attended the Marion County Public Schools in Marion, South Carolina in the Marion High School graduating class of 1976. Upon completing high school she continued her education at Florence-Darlington Technical College, Florence, South Carolina; where her intense focus was in the area of Early Childhood Development. She also enjoyed working with different crafts, with a special love for her children and especially her grand boys.

She worked various jobs ~ Channie Bros. Company, Spring Branch Early Childhood Development and ESAB. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

On June 25, 1979 she married the love of her life, Jimmy and they were married for thirty-eight years. To this blessed union five children were born.

Preceding her in death was a brother: Larry Conner.

Lorraine leaves to cherish and carry on her legacy~ her loving husband: Jimmy Lee Thomas of the home; five children: Louwanda Vanessa Thomas of Greenville, SC. Jammie Lakieshia Thomas of Phoenix , Alabama, Crystal Lynn Thomas of Florence, SC, Christon Levon Jessie Thomas of  Orangeburg, SC, and Whittney Nichols Thomas of the home; five grandchildren: Malik Dramiere Thomas of the home, Tysheene Felton of Sellers, SC, Christon Thomas Jr. of Orangeburg, SC, Prince Tristian Sincere Parker of Florence, SC and Vanzail Gilbert of Greenville, SC; her parents: Jule and Barbara Conner of Marion, SC; a sister: Wanda C. (Derrick) Dickens of Savannah, GA; aunt: Gussie Conner of Atlanta, GA; uncles: Eugene Conner, Harry Conner, Ernest Conner, Arthur Conner; sisters-n-law: Bernice (Elijah) Shaw, Ethel Conner, Cassandra Conner, Jacqueline Conner; two brothers-n-law: Lewis (Valencia) Thomas and Michael Thomas both of Marion, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
