" A Life Well Lived"

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

God, in his Infinite wisdom, knowledge and own timing has called one of his servants home to rest from her labor and to enjoy her rewards in his presence. On December 16, 2017 at the Carolina Hospital Systems, Katherlene went home to Glory.

Katherlene Graves was born on April 9, 1930 as the sixth child of the late William and Lecy (Tennie) Graves in Gresham, SC. At a young age she was baptized and received Christ as her Lord and Savior at the St. Paul Baptist Church in Gresham, SC. She then received the gift of the Holy Ghost.

She then came back to Marion County becoming one of the first black nurses in the County, working at the Marion Memorial Hospital for several years.

She joined in holy matrimony to Jessie Brekely Williams. She was the mother of six children. Later in life she join the Door of Hope Christian Church where she served faithfully as a member and was an active mother of the church.
