Bro. James Grant,69, departed this life on Friday April 6, 2018 in Horry County. He was the husband of Hazel Grant, the father of Kevin Grant, Kenneth Grant, Kimberlyn Grant-Lewis and Jameca Hemingway. You may visit the family at 1404 Mercedes Rd. Mullins.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Mill Creek Baptist Church, Mullins Sunday April 15, 2018 at 2:00pm. He will be laid to rest in the St. James AME Church Cemetery, Marion.

James Grant was born on July 17, 1948 in Marion County, SC to the late Noy and Elizabeth Grant. He departed this early life on Friday April 6, 2018 in Horry County, SC.

He attended the Marion County public schools in Mullins, SC. James joined the Bethlehem AME Church at an early age. He was a loving person and will be missed by all who knew him.

James worked for several years at Marion Industries in Marion, SC; then he went to work at Fiber Industries (Wellman) Industries in Darlington, SC. At the time of death he was a faithful employee of FedEx.

James leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories~ his wife; Hazel Grant of the home; two sons; Kenneth (Virginia) Grant, Kevin (Kaprisha) Grant, two daughters; Kimberlyn (Poette) Lewis, Jameca Hemingway both of Marion, SC; five grandsons; Jamarcus Grant, Avery Grant, Kevin Grant Jr., Kendall Grant, David Johnson; seven grand-daughters; Kendra Grant, Nyesha Grant, Anderia Lewis, Jermary Ranson, Kashanti Grant, Antionette Lampkin, Serenyte Hemingway; three great grandchildren whom he cherished immensely; Falyn, Peyton, Lauryn; four sisters; Elizabeth (Steven), Mary (Earl), Rita, Barbara; six brothers; David (Geraine) Grant, Leon (Marilyn) Grant, Frederick (Beverly) Grant, Wilbert (Jean) Grant, Terry (Tabitha) Grant, Jerry (Angela) Grant all of Mullins, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
