Mother Hilda Williams 85, departed this life on Thursday July 6, 2017 at her home in Marion, SC. She was the mother of Emma Potts, Patricia Moody, Walter McDuffie, James Williams and Langford Williams. You may visit the family at 945 Donnelly Court, Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm Tuesday July 11, 2017 at the New Born Assembly Church, Mullins, SC. She will be laid to rest in the Devotion Gardens Cemetery, Mullins, SC.

Hilda Williams was born in Florence, South Carolina on February 10, 1932 to the late Rudolph and Hazel Harvey. She departed this earthly life peacefully on July 6, 2017 at her home in Marion South Carolina.

Hilda worked as a packer at Mullins Leaf and So-Pak-Co in Mullins South Carolina and also did farm work. She joined Bethel United Methodist Church in Marion South Carolina where she served as an Usher and gave her life to Christ at an early age. She later moved her membership to New Born Assembly Apostolic Church of Mullins, South Carolina, where she served as a faithful member on the Mother’s Board. Hilda loved to hum Gospel spirituals and dip her Tube Rose Snuff. Hilda loved raising her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all children and had a heart of gold.

Hilda is preceded in death by her husband Major Williams, two daughters; Hattie Bell Evans and Alberta Adams, one son Jerome Williams, one sister Vera Mae Moore and one brother Jessie Lee Harvey.

Hilda leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to two daughters Emma Potts and Patricia Moody, three sons: Walter Lee (Rose) McDuffie, Langford (Donna Lee) Williams and James (Jeanette) Williams all of Marion, South Carolina.
