Elder Jammie Norton Brown, 79, departed this life at his home in Marion County on Monday December 4, 2017. He was the husband of Annie Brown. You may visit the family at the home of Bishop Mack Davis at 608 Jones Ave., Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the True Fellowship Church, Marion,  Saturday December 9, 2017 at 1:00pm. He will be laid to rest in the Jackson & Daughters Cemetery, Marion.

If you call my name tomorrow and I don’t answer your call my life is finish and my work will be done it’s another child of God gone home.

Jammie Norton Brown, the son of the late James and Bertha Mae Vereen Brown was born on October 3, 1938 in Conway, SC.

He was educated in the public schools of Horry County School Systems. He was self employed, Jack of all trades.

Jammie was united in Holy Matrimony to Annie Lou Dixon and to this union three children were born. In 1980 he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He joined the Charity Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Bishop James Vereen of Bridgeport Conn. In 1986 he were called of God into the ministry and ordained as pastor of Jerusalem Pentecostal Church in Bridgeport Conn.

In 1990 he and his family relocated to Conway, SC. he was preceded in death by his parents along with his sister Betty Gene Brown and a son Jimmie Ruphet Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife; Evangelist Annie Brown, his daughters; Jennifer (Rick) Gamble of St. Petersburg, Fla., Teresa Mayes of Myrtle Beach, SC and Sharese Bowens of Marion, SC, two sons whom he raised; George Mayes of Wilson Salem, NC, Hoyt (Magaly) Mayes  of Maryland, three grandchildren whom he raised Kawanda Durant of New York City, Jermaine and Deshawn Durant of St. Petersburg, Fla., two brothers-in-laws Allen Dixon of Bronx New York and Bishop Mack Davis of Marion, SC., six sisters-in-law; Callie Dixon of New Jersey City, Ola Mae Dixon of Bronx New York, Leona Dixon, Reonia Dixon, Willie Mae Dixon and Elizabeth Phillips all of Marion, SC, sixteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
