Deacon William Wardell "Billy" Gause 72, departed this life on Wednesday September 20, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Barbara Gause and the father of Faye Barnes, Dana Gause and Tasha Townsend. You may visit the family at 3106 Williams Ct. Mullins.

Wake services are scheduled to be held at the Sandy Grove Holiness Church on Sunday September 24, 2017 from 6pm-8pm.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Marion on Monday September 25, 2017 at 1:00pm. He will be laid to rest in the Devotion Gardens Cemetery, Mullins.

William (Billy) Wardell Gause, Born February 2, 1946, in Conway, SC, he was the son of the late William Gause and Julia (Smith) Gause. He entered into eternal life on Wednesday September 20, 2017

Billy worked for many years for Wellman Inc and later retired in 1994. He also was the owner and operator of Gause Lawn Care Service in Marion, SC for more than 30 years. He enjoyed his craft of landscaping by making residences and businesses in and around Marion County beautiful. When not working, Billy was a devoted Deacon for many years to Sandy Grove Holiness Church.

William (Billy) Wardell Gause was preceded in death by five siblings, Prezel Gause, Chapel Gause, Douglas Gause, Frank Gause, Oretha Gause

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Williams Gause; along with three children; Faye (Reggie) Barnes and Dana (Saretha) Gause, all of Marion, SC and Tasha(Chris) Townsend of Columbia, SC. 7 grandchildren, A’Kosha Barnes, Shaniquia Heyward, Kenya Avant, Reggie Barnes Jr., Tashad Townsend, Akimmie Barnes, and Darrius Townsend. 1 great-grandchild, Ayden Samuels; four siblings, George (Shirley) Gause, Olivia (Robert) Balloon both of Marion, SC, Carrie(Howard) Thomas and Brenda Gause both of Columbia, SC; and many other loving nieces, nephews, and relatives.
